longanberry
My coworker introduced me to longanberries recently. They're pretty good and very healthy. They're known as a beauty food and good for the blood because they have so much iron. There's a podcast about them from Best Day Ever that my coworker is letting me listen to. It might be a pay-site now, I don't know. I'm all for free. I'm writing some more about them at my journal on Dr. McDougall's site, here. I'm just using this blog to post the picture.
EDIT: Who says they have so much iron? Doesn't look like they have a lot of iron when you look it up. Confusing info.

45 Minutes to Understand How to Prevent a Heart Attack
Dr. Sanjay Gupta explains his findings after a year of research. I found this fascinating, including the interview with former President Clinton.
From the video:
"One of the best kept secrets in the country in medicine is that doctors who are practicing aggressive prevention medicine are really seeing heart attacks and strokes disappear from their practices. It's do-able."Dr. Arthur Agatston
Feel free to spread this video around :)

vegan caprese salad
I made a vegan caprese salad that's wonderful. I used Vegan Gourmet mozzarella, a tomato (couldn't find heirloom), basil (hard to find, it's too cold out, but found it), and some green lettuce. Seasoned with black pepper and Herbamare original. It's so yum yum. Listening to Brandi Carlile. Good morning.
