vegan outing

I went to Greens Restaurant tonight with a friend.

Good but pricey. I'm grateful I got to try it.

The experience has got me thinking.

It's hit home to me how hard it is to find anywhere that's full out vegan.

Practically impossible.

Odd world.

Colleen Patrick-Goudreau's podcasts have influenced me lately. My own beliefs voiced and shared by others.

I want to find a poem I heard on one of her podcasts and copy it down here. It's by Leigh Hunt, who wrote one of my favorite poems that I memorized:

Jenny Kiss'd Me

Jenny kiss'd me when we met
Jumping from the chair she sat it
Time, you thief, who love to get
Sweets into your list, put that in!
Say I'm weary, say I'm sad
Say that health and wealth have miss'd me
Say I'm growing old, but add
Jenny kiss'd me.

This poem would bring tears to my mom's eyes. You can see where I got my sensitive side, and I thank her for it.
